Responders who understand their own mental wellness — how stress and trauma build over a career, and how they show up mentally, emotionally, and physically — are better positioned to stay well, stay mission-ready, and support each other.
01
Responders train to stay physically ready for the job. Mental readiness deserves the same discipline. Build the skills to recognize concerns early, before they become issues.
02
The goal isn’t just knowledge. It’s to shatter the stigma that keeps responders suffering in silence. Build the awareness and skills to manage the job’s mental and emotional weight, instead of carrying it alone.
03
When responders trust each other and communicate clearly under pressure, they stay steadier — and they stay in the job. That’s readiness: people who show up for each other, shift after shift, call after call.
The Mental Wellness Curriculum supports all those who are trained to serve the community in times of emergency, crisis, or disaster — career, seasonal, or volunteer.
