Press Release: ResponderStrong and the Missouri Fire Fighters Critical Illness Pool Announce Strategic Partnership to Expand Mental Health and Resilience Training Across Missouri

Missouri — ResponderStrong and the Missouri Fire Fighters Critical Illness Pool (MFFCIP) are proud to announce a new strategic partnership focused on strengthening the health, resilience, and long-term well-being of Responders throughout the State of Missouri.

Through this collaboration, ResponderStrong will provide a wide range of evidence-informed training and wellness programs designed specifically “for Responders, by Responders,” helping fire service personnel and other emergency responders better navigate the unique stressors associated with high-demand professions.

As departments nationwide continue to face increasing operational stress, recruitment and retention challenges, cumulative trauma exposure, and burnout, this partnership represents a proactive investment in the people who serve Missouri’s communities every day.

Under the partnership, Missouri Responders will have access to several ResponderStrong offerings, including:

Train-the-Trainer (8-Hour Program) – Building sustainable, peer-driven resilience education capacity within departments and organizations

LeadStrong (4-Hour Program) – Equipping supervisors and mid-level leaders with practical tools to recognize stress injuries, support personnel, and strengthen psychologically safe team

• FamilyStrong – Helping responders better understand and navigate the unique challenges their profession can place on family life and personal relationships

• Champions Network – Ongoing engagement, peer connection, continued education, and resource-sharing opportunities for trained personnel

The partnership will also support expanded collaboration between departments, peer support leaders, and organizational leadership throughout Missouri, helping create stronger cultures of wellness and resilience across the responder profession.
